Tonneau covers are covers for your truck bed. These truck accessories come in various styles, including hard tri-fold tonneau covers, soft tri-fold tonneau covers and roll-up tonneau covers. They all serve the same purpose--to protect the contents of your truck bed from the elements or from prying eyes.

Enthuze offers a nice selection of tonneau covers, and you can easily use the year, make, and model feature to find one that fits your truck. Tonneau bed covers aren't complicated to install in most cases, but you can also get any Enthuze truck tonneau cover installed at your local Action Trucks location.

Why Install A Tonneau Cover On Your Truck?

Without any type of cover, your truck bed is open to the elements and prying eyes. Leaves, debris, snow, rain, mud, etc. can all easily collect in all the nooks and crannies of your truck bed and make a mess.

A tonneau cover, even if it's not theft-proof, is at least a theft deterrent. Thieves look for easy targets, and a covered bed doesn't look as easy as an open bed. The other nice benefit of a tonneau cover is that it improves your truck's aerodynamic profile, which translates to better fuel economy.

Let's take a look at how to install three types of tonneau covers.

Soft Rolling Tonneau Cover Installation

If you have a soft rolling tonneau cover, the first step is to open up your tailgate and position the cover. This can easily be a one-man operation, and you can do it from only one side as long as you keep the cover taut all the way back.

Step 1 - Unhook the safety straps and roll down the cover.

Step 2 - Push down on the end of the cover to latch it closed. This must be done before you close the tailgate.

If your cover is not pre-assembled, follow the included instructions to assemble it before placing it on your truck.

Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover Installation

The Enthuze soft tri-fold tonneau cover comes pre-assembled, so the only thing you need to do is attach it to your truck bed.

Step 1 - You should fully wash and dry your truck bed before installation.

Step 2 - Place the assembled cover over the cab end of the truck bed.

Step 3 - Unfold the cover and position it over the bed to get proper alignment. Refold the tonneau cover without changing its position.

Step 4 - If your bed liner or bed cap covers the metal bed flange, you'll need to remove enough of it to ensure the clamps make solid contact.

Step 5 - Position the clamps under the bed flange and hand tighten.

Step 6 - Put the tailgate down and fully open the tonneau cover.

Step 7 - Slide the rear clamps out to the bottom edge of the bed flange. Pull the clamp levers down to secure.

Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover Installation

The hard folding tonneau cover by Enthuze is in the tri-fold style. It's fairly easy to install at home as well. Let's take a look at the steps.

Step 1 - Place the tonneau cover at the front of the truck bed behind the cab. Put the dust seal between the cab and the truck bed.

Step 2 - Undo the included tie-down straps so the cover can unfold.

Step 3 - Unfold the cover all the way to align it with the truck bed rails.

Step 4 - Start clamping the cover down by tightening the plastic knob and the nylox nut beneath it.

Step 5 - Unfold the first section and then the second section. Don't remove the included foam blocks as they protect the panel surface when folding.

Step 6 - With the cover laying flat, secure the tailgate clamp hooks to make a snug fit. To clamp the cover down, put the clamp hook lips under the side metal bed rail and push the handle down. You can adjust the clamps by turning them clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen.

Step 7 - If you have a vehicle with a utility track, you'll need to slide the aluminum blocks into the track, position them properly, then tighten the set screw. Secure the cab and tailgate camps onto the aluminum blocks.

Step 8 - The last step is to apply the included paint protectors to the inside metal bed rails at each latch location.
