Transporting a Job Box

Job boxes can be extremely heavy once fully loaded with tools–300 to 400 pounds is not uncommon. You might be able to lift the box into your truck bed with two people assuming the bed is lower, such as with a 2WD truck.

If you have a taller truck or simply want to make the job easier, a good way to transport the job box is with heavy duty loading ramps. Without wheels, the boxes can potentially be dragged for short distances, but wheels will definitely make this job easier.

A good idea is to have two fixed wheels and two that swivel as four swiveling wheels will make it harder to load via a truck bed ramp.
